Default Recovered Final Cut Projects wont open.

I've recently used Stellar Phoenix to recover data from my hard drive, which was successful, but Final Cut Pro project files won't open, even if i force FCP to read it. It just gives me "Error: Wrong file type".

The files that wont work are Final Cut Pro HD 4.5 files. Other files that work are Pro Tools HD, quicktime, JPGs etc..basically everything apart from the ones that I desperately need!

I've seen threads on other forums of people who have had the same problem, it wasnt resolved. Has anyone here had/heard of this problem?

I've tried appending the files with .fcp, that hasnt worked. I also tried "Type and Creator Changer" and "Quick Change" programs and set the TYPE to FCPF and the CREATOR to KeyG, still nothing..

If anyone has experienced this or knows or someone who has had similar issues, any help would be very gladly recieved!

Thanks,
Joe
