Help me please. I really don't know what to do. I have lost some very important family videos. I've got a Panasonic HD Camcorder which has an SD card from which I have copied AVCHD video files into my computer and now I cannot find them I think I have accidentally deleted the whole folder. Basically I've got to recover these AVCHD video files, their format is .MTS and I really need these since these are very important
, I have tried a few programs but couldn't find anything. I'm not really sure If I was using the correct software but anyway I need some help and advice on what to do please. PS. I'm not to sure when I have last seen these files on my computer, it might of been around 2 or 3 months back ago but I have not formatted my computer since 2008 so that won't be a problem. Please help. ![]() Thank you in advance. |

Hi,
Have you taken new videos on the SD card since the missing ones? Have you run a search in Windows for the file names to make sure you have not accidentially moved the folder or missplaced it.

Hi,
If new videos have been written to the sd card then they have overwritten and destroyed any delete data, so that can no longer be used as a source of recovery. You should try and limit the use of your computer - the more you use it, the more chance you have that data will be written to the drive (either by you or Windows) and the greater the possibility that deleted files will be overwritten and destroyed. The first thing to try is to download Recover My Files and run a Fast File Search on the C: drive and the Recycler. Search for the JPEG file type only. Look for your MTS files in "Folder View" of the search results screen.
