Default complete recovery of a portable drive

Hi,

I accidently started to format my portable drive 120gb, then realized I had not save some of the files, so I stopped the format immediately. When I look at my computer folder the drive shows up, when I go to access it is says if I would like to format drive. I have started a complete recovery of a formatted drive since 8pm last night, still going. It has found 2944 o/s files. should I stop this now and try to recover it, from what I have read 2944 seem really low. All I had on the drive were photos and music, about 10,000 photos and 2000 music files, the drive is a ntfs drive. Also, should I complete the format and then run the recovery program?

Default Data Recovery

Hi,

Yes, that number of OS items is too low.

What is the Operating System that was used to do the format?

Did you select and search the 'physical drive'?

Whilst the search is in progress, when you click on the files in 'File Type View' of the results screen, can you preview them?

Hi,

I Let it run for a few more hours, total 20hrs and it finally end at 29954 o/s files and 13900 files found, it has found all the missing files. I will be putting an order through for a save option.

Thanks,
Koush
