my files lost when I stopped defragging

Hi everybody. Please help me, when i stopped defragging one partition of my hard disk the files screwed up! the files are there, used space is same as before but system no longer can show them. after restarting, checking disk took a long time, Icoudn't wait more than 8 hours and i canceled it. Now is there any solution for recovering my files? Please help me.

mmm - your file and folder structure is probably now very screwed up.

I suggest your download Recover My Files from http://download.getdata.com/RecoverMyFiles-Setup.exe and run a Complete Format Recover search of the phsycial drive using only the pre-selected file types.

Look both in File View and Folder View of the search results screen for your files.

If you do not get good results, then try a Complete File Search on the drive letter for specific file types.
