Hi! I have a Sony VAIO SZ220 and I get a blue screen right before windows welcome screen. I tried to reboot in safe mode and i still get a blue screen. I swapped the RAM around and I get a blue screen with any of them in any slot. I put in the windows XP CD and try to reinstall but it only sees one partition and it tells me that I have to format - there no option for Leave partition as it is.
So I want to get my data before I try to reinstall windows. I found an Active disk bootable that uses the RAM to boot so it works. I recovered the data with Active@ File Recovery but i cannot read the docs, see the pictures or play any of the mp3 files that I recovered. The problem is that all the files are in My Documents. Please help me! |

The best thing to do would be to remove the drive from the PC and use and adapter to connect it to another working machine as a secondary drive.
Then try and view the file system. If you cant, try Recover My Files from Data Recovery Software to Undelete Files; Disk recovery; Recover Deleted Files and run a Complete Format Recovery search using the instructions in the first post of this forum. Good luck.

I already start using Recover My files and it works really really slow to recover them. I have to do it one by one also.
I think it's a hard drive failure 'cause the hard drive makes some weird noise and it's slow. What brand do you recommend for replacement? Thank you again for your support! |
