Good Morning
I had to reformat my computer hard drive and lost a ton of work that I need. I am runnig the scan to see what files I can save. My problem is I only have c:. I can save the files to some CDs but I was wondering if I can partition this drive into another? Thank you MrsWitch8187 ![]() |

Hi,
Doing this to the drive on which you have lost the data is not really a good idea. It would be very easy to screw it up and you could make data recovery much more difficult. With Recover My Files you can save data directly to CD or DVD - so I suggest you save your files there. However the best and most flexible option would be to buy an external USB drive. The are very cheap these days, are flexible, can hold a lot of data, and when you have finished using it for data recovery, you can always then use it as a backup drive.
