Hi,
i have a 1tb My Book WD, at some time i couldn't access it, i opened it and connect one of the two drives to my computer via a USB-SATA cable windows recognizes the drive but doesn't assigns a drive letter, i tried on the disk management and i see a disk 1 with 5 partitions, 31 mb, 2.8gb, 102 mb, 965 mb and 462 gb there it something with the disk array that i must configure to access it? thanks in advance Ivan |

Hi,
Download Recover My Files v4 beta here: Recover My Files v4 Beta Testing Page - run a Disk recovery on the physical drive. This should find your entire file and folder stucture. Because the drive is so big, you dont need to let the search run all the way to the end. Keep an eye on the "Filesystem" records number near the progress bar, and when it gets to a high number and stops increasing (each one represents a file) then press the stop button. You should get to this point within a 2 hour search. Please let me know how it goes.
