Hallo,
I was Copying a huge folder of videos and sound files to another hard disk. It was about 300GB. I went in other room. The stupid default screensaver appeared after few minutes. The copying halted and created some kind of pressure on the hard disk. The copy went very slow. I stopped and restarted to find that both OS on both HDDs got slow. Some how managed to login to one windows. The partitions were corrupt, they were showing raw as well as unknown. Explorer hanged when I tried to access them. So I quick formated them. Now windows is stable. Wanted to recover a 500gb partition. Using Recover My Files3.98V(Last option-Complete Format search). Its been 24 hours scanning is still going on. The progress bar advances 1 dot per 4 hours. Not even 40% yet. I don't mind But.... When I am seeing through the recovered file list while the search goes, its like this- Recovered file No 1, Recovered wave no2 etc. 'Folder View' is showing blank. I want original file names and folders. ... Will it yield the Folders, folder names and file names at the end of the search? Talk to you soon, thank you, good wishes, Ketan. V3.98 will give you your file and folder names back. In the progress window, what are the values for Files Found = xx and OS Items Found = xxx?
Each OS item represents a file with full file and folder name. If the OS items is stable (not going up rapidly) click the stop button and the file and folder structure will build and display.

Hi GDH, thank you for coming and telling,
![]() What are the values of files? you mean size in KB? I selected only media files and images from the options. There was no OS on that partition. Just storage. The hard disk is new, and those media and working files were the first to get written on that partition. After crash I have left it untouched. Just quick formatted, thinking that it might help scan faster. But as you have said in other post that formatting results in tremendous time to recover, I still have to recover them now... It still has to go long way. no OS item found yet. the progress bar has advanced only 7 dots yet. thanks, talk to you soon. Ketan. |

In version 3.98, when running a Complete Format Recover search, the progress window has two values in it: Files Found and OS Items found.

Each OS item is a file with its full file and folder structure.
You can try download the new release of Recover My Files v4 from Data Recovery Software to Undelete Files; Disk recovery; Recover Deleted Files - in this version we have changed the name from OS Items to "Filesystem Records".
