Recover My Files version 4 - Licensing and Software Activation

There are three types of Recover My Files v4 licenses available for purchase at: http://www.recovermyfiles.com/data-r...e-purchase.php

1. Standard - $69.95
   
   The Recover My Files 'Standard' license is suited to home and small business users who just want to get their data back and get on with life. It is suitable for recovery from all versions of Windows and will also work with camera cards and other removable media. An activation key can be used on two physical PC's, e.g. a home desktop and home laptop.
   
   
2. Professional - $149.95
   
   A Recover My Files 'Professional' license is for users who require advanced features, such as the ability to recover RAID, and HFS (MAC) drives and work with image files. An activation key can be used on two physical PC's, e.g. a home desktop and home laptop.
   
   
3. Data Recovery Technician - $299.95
   
   A Recover My Files 'Data Recovery Technician' license is intended for users who perform data recovery services for third parities. It includes all the features of the Professional license, but he license key is provided on a hardware dongle so that it may be taken from machine to machine to perform the recovery.
   

Activation keys are purchased via our secure encrypted server and provided on a web page at the completion of the transaction and also sent via email.

To Enter the Product Activation Key

At the top of the Recover My Files main program window, you will see the text menu items "File | Recover | Help". Click on "Help > Activate Product".

Does the Data Recovery Technician license still require you to install Recover My Files v4 onto a computer before recovering files on it, or can it be run in some for of Portable mode off a removable device (e.g., USB thumb drive)? My concern is that the install of RMFv4 may overwrite files I may need to recover.
