Yesterday I had to reboot my computer and for some reason when it came back up my second physical disk appeared blank. I called the hard drive company's tech support and they told me I lost the NTFS file system on it. How we don't know, but I've downloaded a couple different file recovery programs. So far, Recover My Files is the only one able to see anything on that drive, but I have been running a complete file search for about 12 (TWELVE) hours and it does not appear to be even halfway through finding everything!
After reading some other posts here, I don't really feel like waiting 3-4 days only to find out that these files will not be recoverable. I do professional audio and video editing and these files are an absolute MUST to recover!! I cannot afford the high prices the online services charge, so where does that categorize me? |

You will get all your data back.
Please make sure you are using the latest version of Recover My Files, currently 3.80 and avaialble from www.recovermyfiles.com. In your situation you should first try the Format Recover options - because there is a problem with your drive. A "Fast Format Recover" should be tried first (as it will only take 10 mintues to run). Depending on the results, then try a "Complete Format Recover". Only search for the default selected file types, and do not include multimedia for music files in the search as it will slow the search down. At the end of the search the program will use the default file types to rebuild the entire partition and you will have access to all your deleted files, will full file name and folder structures. The search should take no more than 10 hours to run to completetion.
