Alright, so check it out, I am recovering an accidental reformat of a client's hard drive. The file types I need to recover are:
Excel iTunes JPEG MP3 PowerPoint Word Quicken I think that's all of them. I am getting paranoid when the scans go over 60 Hours and it's only between 50 and 60 percent complete. I am using 3.98 and I was told that scans should complete within 24 hours. The hard drive is less than 400 Gigs and only 40 percent was used at the time of the accidental format. What are the best settings to have scans that complete within 24 hours? I am getting paranoid because all it takes is an accidental power shortage to restart my recovery process. What settings can I use or how can I save my scan as it goes along? It seems 84 hours (estimated) for a full recovery of these files seems waaay too long. What am I going wrong? I haven't a clue what settings to use. |
