Default Brand New WD My Book 1.5TB failed after a week

Ok, so I bought a new 1.5 tb my book, transfered my stuff off my old 250gb my book, as i added it to my new drive i erased it off my old drive, it worked fine for a week, then one day i noticed the activity light on the front of the my book was just flashing, and found out it was no longer recognized in my available drives list.Tried unplugging all that and same thing, constant blinking light and never showing up in drive list.

I went and bought another one just like it, took apart the enclosure and got the hard drive out of the my book, swapped the usb boards on both, now the brand new one does the flashing light thing, but my drive with the info doesnt show up in the drive list but if i go to disk management it shows up as an available drive but lists it as unallocated.

Downloaded recover my files, and ran it once, but i dont hear drive spinning as its searching?

help please, lots of itunes files on here, music and movies and tv shows

Default Data Recovery

When you run a "Recover Drive" search with Recover My Files, do you see it listed in as a Hard Disk in the drive selection window?

Follow these instructions - do you find any files at all?

Yes it shows up on the program as an available drive, it acts like its searching it but the drive is not spinning.

Default data recovery

It sounds like you drive has a physical problem. You will need to find a hardware recovery service.
