Default Recovered Pictures Can't Preview

I was able to recover about 30,000 JPEGs using this software but many of them are unable to be previewed now that I have saved them. Is there any thing that I can do to see these images? Is it possible that my newly reformatted computer does not have the appropriate software to open them?

Hi,

It is hard to say without getting some pics to look at. Try downloading the free Irfanview.com file viewer - it is a very useful tool.

I have the very same issue. It takes very long to scan, but before saving I can see it in the tool. Finally the saved pictures are not viewable.

If you can preview the files in the Recover My Files search results window, then they should save without any problems.

However, if you are saving from an external USB drive then you should check to make sure the drive is not set to go into power save mode. If this happens half way through the saving process, it can lead to saving files which are blank and do not contain valid data.
