My dell's hard drive suddenly stopped working. I had the following error message:
" Internal hard disk drive not found. To resolve this issue try reseat the drive. No bootable devices-strike f1 to retry reboot f2 for set up f5 for onboard disgnostics." I removed the HD and put in a portable drive and then put it in another computer and when I did that, i got a message telling me that I needed to format the HD in order for the computar to recognize it. when I selected the format option it told me that it couldnt be formatted. The main issue here is that I cant detect the HD in any computer, I need to recover the data, is there any way i can save my work of months?? Thanks a lot for your kind help. NICOLAS |

Hi,
Does you pc recognize that a physical drive is connected in My Computer > Manage > Disk Management? If so, you should be able to get your data back by following these instructions: Recover a Formatted Drive with Recover My Files v4
