All posts that cover saving the search results as a file say "We are enabling that in the future version of RMF"...
Well - I have the new version... and it has an option to load a previous search. So when I go to load the search file [ RMF_ExportList.csv ] the program does not recognise it? ![]() Would this require a change of the file extension? I cannot find anything on the forum apart from a reference that this feature has been enabled. The reason I ask is because it took two and a half days to scan my drive. And solving this issue would save a lot of waiting for another scan to complete. |

Hi,
A CSV files is just a printout of the search results as a test list. We added the ability to do this because we kept getting asked by people who were presenting the search results in court. Recover My Files v4 has a new feature, which is where you actually save the search results, 'Recover > Save Search', and then reload the search reuslts using 'Recover > Load Search'.

I am a new user of Recover My Files version 4.5.2(685) and am having trouble with the Save Search facility.
After saving a search and subsequently attempting to reload the saved search on another occasion the search file starts to load and then an Error box appears saying "load of saved search was unsuccessfull". This happens every time. I am trying to recover a D: drive hard disk which I accidentally reformatted using Norton Ghost, saving all results to my main C: drive, including the Save Search files. Running Windows XP Service Pack 3. I would be gratefull for an opinion.Regards retroteck |
