Laptop HD corrupted...but i need the data!!

Hello ****,

My laptop crashed on me the other day and despite several efforts i could not get to startup. I finally tried to reinstall XP and got this screen...

Now, will Recover My Files work for me. I was planning on connecting my HD to another desktop and try to fix it from there...what do you **** think? Can I recover my data?

Yes, you should be able to get your data back.

The best thing to do would be to take you laptop hard drive and connected it to a PC as a secondary drive. You will need to have some hardware skills to do this, and also a laptop laptop drive connector.

Once connected you can Run Recover My Files on the PC and search the problem laptop drive. If you can no longer see the drive letter, then search the "Physical Drive". I suggest you start with a "Fast Format Recover" (this take less than 10 minutes to run) and then, depending on the results, move to a "Full Format Recover" (this will take several hours).
