Default Data Recovery

This means that the data on the disk has been overwritten with new data (usually 0's). Once this has been done, it can no longer be recovered.

However, if you are wiping files with wiping software, it is always a good idea to check if the data is actually gone (use Recover My Files, because some of these programs do not work as well as they should.
