I finished the "Fast Format Recover" and skipped doing the "Complete Format Recover" and just searching for .bmp and .avi files. Instead I just saved my files to a external hard drive, they seems to be all there. I'm still wondering about my email, I had over 200 read & unread messages in my inbox, can they be recovered?

What email program are you using? Did you find .pst files (MS Outlook) or .dbx files (MS Outlook Express).

I found 2 .pst files from MS Office Outlook. And 12 .dbx files from MS Outlook Express. before my mishap, I was using MS Office Outlook, but I haven't set it back up since I did the reformat, I have to call MS to get my produt key.

If you have any problems installing the old PST files after recovery, they might be corrupt. Simply go to Microsofts web site and search for a file named pfbackup.exe. You can also search your computer for this file, although the version at MS is newer. It will help to repair damaged Outlook files, although unfortunately not all of them. Recover My Email (located HERE) can also be used to recover deleted e-mail messages from within a PST file. Good luck!
