If you stop a scan midstream will it display everything that it has found up to that point, or will it just revert back to the beginning?
If it reverts back to the beginning, then perhaps a feature that allows people to collect data midstream would be nice ![]()

Hi,
Yes, you can stop the search mid stream, save the files found so far, and then start the search again from this point. Prior to stopping the search, note down the cluster number that the search is up to (it is the number written near the progress bar). Before you restart the search, click on the OPTIONS button on the main program screen and in the the ADVANCED tab put a tick in the box for "prompt for start cluster". Now when the disk search routine starts you will be prompted for the starting point. I hope this helps.

Thank you Graham, that is a great feature
I used another program to recover some files on a 160 gig harddrive, and it took almost a WEEK before the scan was done, only to find out that it didn't even find any files ![]()

Yes - its good when you are search large drive.
Also, please note that whilst the search is in progress you can click on the files found and preview the contents of the files in the preview screen. That way you can know that your data is being recovered even during the search process. Thanks for you input into the forums. It is much appreciated.
