My Dell motherboard crashed and I have removed the HD and put it in an external case. ITs attached to my desktop via usb conection. I can see everything but my password protected section. Running XP pro. When I try to get in that section it says "acess denied".
Will this softeware see through that so I can get the info off the drive. Also this drive was reformated last spring due to corruption in service pack 2 installation. I hired someone to retrive the info and reformat but he failed to get my "school" info off. ![]() So will this allow me to get past the "acess denied" and also retrieve my info that was reformated over? Recover My Files will recover a formatted hard disk. Please download the demo from http://www.recovermyfiles.com and try a "Complete Format Recovery" of the drive. Search only for the default selected file types.
In relation to your other problem, you have encrypted the files. Recover My Files does not currently recover encrypted files (we will add this feature in a future version). I suggest you search Google for "recover deleted encrypted files".
