    Default [000...] Folders

    Hello all,

I've been using Recover My Files for a bit now and was just wandering where the folders titled "[000...]" are? (eg [00060936])... It states that it is located directly in C: Drive but I cannot find them, even with "Show hidden system files" enabled. Is this just a folder that the program makes and dumbs the files in?

    Cheers Lover

    Default data recovery

    Hi,

    These are "orphan" files.

Like an human, an orphan file has lost its parent (i.e. its parent folder).

The numbers come from a record in the Master File Table (MFT) - a table used to track the location of files on the disk.
