    Default Data Recovery

    Hi,

Files named like this are "alternate data streams", also referred to as a "data fork".

Essentially programmers use alternate data streams at attach extra attributes for a file (for example a movie could have video compression information as an ADS).

For all intents and purposes, they are useless to you and you don't need to keep them. You wont loose anything important by not saving or deleting them.
