Default 48 hrs and slow ...

I am trying to recover a 1TB SATA drive connected via USB to a WindowsXP computer. It has been running for 48 hours. All power saving options are disabled.

    Currently it reports:
Files Found: 0, Filesystems Found: 0
Scanning block 3,147,136 of 1,953,525,160 for lost files (55,208 unreadable blocks)

I am worried that something is not right and at this pace I am not sure how it would ever get done. Any recommendation or trouble shooting tips on what to do?
    Thanks in advance,
    Tobias

    Default Data Recovery

Unreadable blocks means that Recover My Files cannot communicate with the problem disk. You should stop the current search, check basic connection issues and try again.

Make sure you can see the physical drive in Windows Disk Management (right click on My Computer > Manage > Disk Management).
