    Default RAW Drive Recovery

    Hi,

There is a video on this page: Hard Drive Data Recovery: Data Recovery Videos which shows you how to run a RAW hard drive recovery with Recover My Files.

If it looks like Recover My Files is not searching your drive, then it is probably is not.

Does the drive have power? Can you hear it spinning?

What is the status of the drive under Windows disk management?

If you would like us to take a look at the drive then please try the Live Support button at the top of this page.

    Thank you.

    Default Data Recovery

Deleted or missing files will stay on a disk up until such time as they are overwritten and destroyed by new data.

As long as your drive is physically working ok (e.g. the platters are still spinning), your computer can recognize the drive (e.g. in Windows Disk Management) and you haven't written any new data to the drive, then you should expect to recover close to 100% of your files.
