Unhappy RecoversTooMuch

I am using the demo download. I'm interested in recovering .dbx files for Outlook Express. When I check the area that .dbx is the only files I want the software to find, it goes ahead and locates "everything". (ie .exe .gif etc). Is this my error in usage or a weakness in the software? I press the "complete file search" button. Check the drive that I want searched, then go to e-mail and check outlook express dbx files. (I make sure the others are not checked). When the search begins, all files come up. I've done it twice and stopped the search at 49,000 files. Frank of Advent

Default DBX recovery

When you are in "File View" of the results screen do you get one folder that contains your DBX files and another folder that say "other files"?

Yes. That is in the left upper "window". The individual results are in the right "box" and all the files are listed in one long "list". The dbx files are interspersed throughout the many other files I didn't want listed (nor did I check before I started the scan).

Default DBX Recovery

In the top left window, click on the "DBX" folder and it will just display DBX files in the right hand window.

Thanks--I'm now seeing how to do this. I'll be buying your product.
