recovered word file

i purchased the recovery software and manage to locate the .doc i needed, but it wont open and word says i need conversion software but the one that comes with word does not open any help?

the word file doesnt show up in recovered files but if i search manualy i can find the file and the name is there anyway i can recover that file, because when i save that file to my hdd and try and open it with word it just says conversion software needed, i opened the word reader you recomended it worked with the recovered files but not the file i just mentioned. Any help would be appreciated.
