I have just replace my C
rive with a new hard drive... I have two other drives a D: Drive which is my External USB Drive and used for all my files... also a G: Drive which is a internal drive used for my temp and temporary Internet files...I clone the C: Drive with my Old C: Drive... booted up... all was well until I tried to access my D rive and I got an error drive not recognised… so I used the disk management in XP and activated the Drive… now I get a message to format my Drive… How do I fix this… Regards - Paul |

Do not format the drive.
Download Recover My Files from www.recovermyfiles.com. Install it on your C: drive. Run a "Fast Format Recover" on your D: drive to see if it finds the files. If a Fast Format Recover does not work (it will take about 20 minutes to run), then try a Complete Format Recover. Click on files found in the results screen to preview the file content. Please let us know how it goes.
