Default Problem with photoshop file

Hi i feel so stupid so please excuse me :-)

My pc completely wiped all my documents - i use mostly photographs - jpeg and photoshop format - it happened after windows update asked me to download the updates i did and it lost all my work - i couldnt do a partial recovery so i was back to square one.

I purchased recover my files and it has found some photos - however the one thing i needed the most was a sample of an advertisement i had drawn up and being very stupid i didnt make a backup copy as it was very late at night. It was saved in photoshop format and also one in jpeg. I have found both but the photoshop one will not open in photoshop and the jpeg one is simply too small - when i try to resize it again in photoshop it become distorted - if this makes sense to anyone please help me - i have a deadline on this ad and spent a lot of time designing it :-(

i know a little about pc's etc but im no whizz at them so any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

Default Data Recovery of psd photoshop files

Hi,

Have you run a Complete File Search with Recover My Files for the .psd file type? Run this and in File View of the results screen click on any .psd files found to preview thier content.

If you dont find your files this way, next run a Complete Format Recover of the drive letter for the default selcted file types, but also add into the search the psd file type. Once the search has finished, look in Folder View for your file.

Default Data Recovery

Which of the two searches found your file? Did the file have its full name? or was it called "Recovered_Photoshop_1". Please send the recovered files to me and I will take a look a the content.

Thank you.
