I have a hardrive with 2 partitions I installed windows on 1 of the partitions that I dont need any files from.
after the installation was compleate the second partitons is empty and is 100% free space which should not be. this partition was never formated. even stranger.. my C: drive is the empty one. and D: drive is the newly installed windows |

You should be able to find the files on the C: drive. Run a Complete Format Recover of the C: drive and search only for the default selected files types. At the end of the search look in Folder View for the old file and folder structure.
