Sorry about the nubie ? but last weekend we had a harddrive lose it's partition.
I used RMF to get the current data out so I could rebuild the H/D over the weekend and get it going by Monday. [Active Business } Successfully I might add. So I guess my question is "are the saved files still in the hardrives original locations " or have they been removed during the recovery process? Thanks in advance and for saving my bacon this weekend ![]() Bill |

Recover My Files finds the deleted or lost files on the drive and displays them to you in the Recover My Files results window.
Recover My Files is a Data Recovery Tool, not a Drive Repair Tool. It does not change the drive being searched in any way. It is designed this ways so that even if Recover My Files does not work, you know that you have not made any changes to the problem drive and you can try other solutions, or try a new type of search. You must save the files that Recover My Files finds to another drive (or CD, DVD, Network Drive, External drive etc). Once you are happy that you everything off the drive, then you can copy it back to its original location.
